Les Elliott
Les Elliott established ASCM’s presence in Mauritius in 2007. He is both Managing Director and chair of the investment committee that takes all investment decisions. Mr Elliott has primary oversight of the portfolio managers and analysts in Mauritius in addition to himself covering the US and European markets. He was previously with Beacon Capital Management in the British Virgin Islands. Mr Elliott was a member of the Circle Charitable Trust in Mauritius and is a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors.
Gary Todd
Gary Todd joined ASCM as Financial Director in 2009. He is a member of the investment committee in Mauritius with specific focus on portfolio management for the African frontier market mandates. Mr Todd is additionally responsible for all financial control at ASCM, including compliance with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and is a long-standing member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors.
Gregory Soobaya
Gregory Soobaya joined ASCM in 2013. He is responsible for numerous portfolio management functions on the ASCM investment committee. Mr Soobaya is primarily focused on the emerging markets universe where ASCM is particularly active. He was previously at MCB Investment Management on their fixed income and currency desk. He is a CFA charterholder and holds a degree in Actuarial Science from Cass Business School, London.
